Steve Bubanko

Dr. Steve Bubanko

Doctor of Optometry

Originally from Welland Ontario Steve received a Bachelor of Science Degree, followed by a Master of Science Degree in Biochemistry from McMaster University. His research was subsequently published in Biophysical Journal in 1998. Dr. Bubanko was awarded his Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry. While at the College, Dr. Bubanko earned membership in the Gold Key Honor Society and received the following awards: the Wildermuth Foundation Scholarship, Colleague of the Year, and the Eugene W. Strawn Leadership and Service Award.

Dr. Bubanko's training was supplemented with time spent at the Kresge Specialty Contact Lens Clinic in Detroit, Michigan; the Oschner Clinic in Metarie, Louisiana; the Illinois Eye Institute and the Maryville Academy in Chicago, Illinois.

Dr. Steve moved to New Lenox in 2003, where he lives with his wife Dr. Pauline and their two children. He has been a member of the New Lenox Chamber of Commerce since 2005.
